Madonna has been named one of the most powerful Jewish Americans.
  • That's odd. She doesn't look American. (And she certainly doesn't sound American). Moreover, she claims she isn't Jewish.
  • J.J. Goldberg, editor of a Jewish weekly called The Forward, said, "She's probably the world's best known practitioner of Judaism right now."
