I'm actually going to score this one for Jesus, which will pull him into undisputed third place in this year's Jesus sightings, just behind Weird Al and Russell Brand.

I had removed it when his feed was misfiring, and I forgot about it until your comment reminded me. His feed is working now, so I set it back in just now.

None of the new films made it into double figures, so The Help pulled the three-peat. That film has now become quite a phenomenon. It dropped only 2% since last week.
The Debt was the best of the new films by far. It took in a respectable $5300 per screen to finish first in that category for the weekend, and grossed $9.6 million overall, which was good enough for second place behind The Help.
Apollo 18 and Shark Night 3D were truly anemic performers, finishing in a virtual tie for third with a disappointing $8.7M. We won't know which finished third and which fourth until the final numbers are in, but it doesn't matter much, considering they tied up screens in 3300 and 2800 theaters, so the have to be considered co-failures.
(Of course those theater owners really had no better options this week, so the argument is not really salient.)

MOST badass?
I think not.
This is actually the most badass dying wish a kid ever made.

The current score: Snakes 10 trillion; Humans 1.
"Senk was arrested on 'suspicion of unlawfully maiming or mutilating a reptile.'"
That's a crime? You know this has to be in California. I'd love to see the specific wording of that statute. If that was a crime in Texas I would be about a thousand-time offender.
But never with my teeth.

I guess the rubber rafts were all taken.
"The police report said Aguiar 'maliciously molested, opened, broke, injured, damaged and inserted his body parts' into the machine."
What kind of vending machine? Pepsi? Coke? Snickers? Good Humor? The article cannot specify because the victim's name is always withheld in rape cases.

None of the new films could unseat The Help, but they finished 2-3-4. A WEAK 2-3-4. It appears that none of them will reach $10 million, and The Help may not make it either. Apollo 18 and Shark Night pulled in $2.8 million each, with The Debt just a hair behind at $2.6 million. The results for The Debt are the closest to respectability, given the fact that it is in 1000-1500 fewer theaters than the others. Apollo 18 and Shark Night are in the nuclear bomb territory.
Seven Days in Utopia took in a paltry $400,000, and I couldn't even find a record of that Old-Fashioned Orgy thingie.

A casualty of hand-to-hand combat? Not hardly.
The Weighty Warrior "and a heavily-armed unit drove a tank through the gates of the property before booting in the front door of the family home."
They must be making those tank hatches extra large these days.
Side note:
All kidding aside, the puppy may or may not have died as a result of the assault, but the accuser's credibility is a bit questionable - "The Hispanic man also denied there was an illegal cockfighting ring at his home, accusing Seagal and his colleagues of killing 100 prize chickens that were being bred for 'show.'"
"Yeah, for show, see. And he killed my puppy, and my wife, Morgan Fairchild. Yeah, that's the ticket."
There's no nudity. In fact, this may be the only time I've ever seen her wearing clothing, but she really does look marvelous - better than she did a decade ago.
Not many women can claim to look better at 35 than they did at 25. Elizabeth Hurley ... Rose McGowan ... Halle Berry ... maybe Monica Bellucci, maybe not. (She looked spectacular at 35, but she always did and still does, so I can't conclude that she improved from 25 to 35.) No others come immediately to mind.
Add Winslet to the list.

Excellent! But the three remaining pandas are gonna have eat a lot more.
Well, actually not. One scientist says, "Once you have the bacteria you can grow them outside of the intestinal track of the panda."
Best quotes from the article:
"There is a future in feces."
Panda poop is "probably the most pleasant fecal material to actually work with."

It would make anyone who hires domestic workers, including adult babysitters, have to obey California employment laws. They'd have to pay babysitters minimum wage plus overtime, provide worker's comp insurance, keep timecard records, issue paychecks and tax forms, and provide them with a 10-minute break every two hours and a 30-minute break every five hours. That apparently means you'd have to hire two babysitters, so the second could cover for the first.
But the sponsor noted that the Senate did remove a provision that required babysitters to get an hour of paid vacation time for every 30 hours worked.

The Debt - 76%. "The Debt has the overall air of an Oscar contender that never got into the ring -- well-made, but not spectacular."
Good Old-Fashioned Orgy - 30%. "Cars 2 had more sexual chemistry than this woefully modest picture. Better laughs too."
7 Days in Utopia - only 11%, despite the presence of Robert Duvall and Melissa Leo. "Half-hearted attempts to incorporate messages about God and faith don't go much farther than people pointing at a Bible."
Apollo 18 and Shark Night 3D - no reviews.

Nothing dramatic is expected during the Labor Day weekend. This is the time of year for the studios to play Small Ball.
Apollo 18, the PG-13 horror/mockumentary film which is sort of a Blair Witch on the Moon, is expected to finish first with a gross of about $15 million in 3300 theaters. The race between this film and The Help is expected to be close, so The Help may hold on to first place once again if the new film falters.
Shark Night 3D (also PG-13) will be in 2800 theaters and is expected to pull in about $12 million, which would be good enough for third place.
The Debt, about Nazi hunters, is already playing. It is expected to gross a modest $6 million in 1800 theaters. Rated R for violence and language.
7 Days in Utopia, a G-rated drama about a failed professional golfer, will be in 550 theaters, and is not expected to perform well.
I don't know how many theaters A Good Old-Fashioned Orgy will be in, but it's not expected to reach the weekend's top ten. It is rated R for "pervasive strong sexual content and graphic nudity." (My kind of stuff!)
