Doomsday Speeches: If D-Day and the Moon Landing Had Failed


If D-Day had failed, Eisenhower was planning to say, essentially and succinctly, "It's my fault."

Presumably Nixon would have said, "It's not my fault. I blame the Democrats and the hippies."
