I actually took a graduate school class which was entirely dedicated to Finnegans Wake. I got an A and earned high praise for my oral readings. I also read several other books which purport to explain Finnegans Wake, including several of Burgess's works on Joyce. Despite all that, I still have no fucking idea what is going on in that book.
