NCAA College Football Scores, Week 10

NCAA College Football Scores, Week 10

#1 Alabama and #3 Notre Dame did win, but it wasn't easy. The Tide beat #5 LSU by coming from behind in the last minute of the game; Notre Dame needed three OTs to beat Pitt.

#4 Oregon and #17 USC played another one of the defense-free shoot-outs that have characterized this year's play in general. Final score: 62-51 Oregon. The Ducks had at least two TDs in every quarter! Oregon is #1 in the nation in points scored, with 54 per game.

For what it's worth, an Oregon-Alabama championship game would match the nation's top offense against its top defense.

NEWS: Arizona proved unworthy of their #22 ranking. They were drubbed 66-10 by unranked UCLA. (In fairness, UCLA probably will be ranked this week, and is still very much in the hunt to win the Pac 12 because the three best teams in that conference are in the North half, while UCLA leads the South.)

NOT NEWS: #21 West Virginia scored 38 and lost. They are 9th in the nation in points scored (41 per game), but 5th-worst in points allowed (40 per game).
