NFL Scoreboard, Week 11

There were not any classic match-ups and there were no real surprises. The only thing that might catch your eye is that the 9-1 Texans needed OT to defeat the 1-9 Jaguars, despite Matt Schaub having passed for 527 yards and 5 TDS. That is tied for the second-highest total for single game passing yardage in NFL history. Nobody has passed for more yards in any game in the past 60 years. (Van Brocklin's record 554 was set way back in 1951.)

Despite Schaub being on his way to record levels, the Jaguars had a 34-20 lead at one point in that game. Schaub then caught fire and completed 16 in a row. His favorite receiver of the day, Andre Johnson, scampered for 273 receiving yards. That is in 9th place in NFL history; is the highest single game among active receivers; and is the best single game total since December of 2000, when TO put up 283 against Da Bears. (The all-time record is 336, set by Flipper Anderson in 1989.)
