Big Space: There are at least 100 billion planets in our galaxy alone
And our rinky-dink galaxy doesn't amount to jack shit in the immensity of the universe.

On a more practical note:

"This means that there is likely to be a minimum of 1,500 planets within just 50 light-years of Earth"
