5 Ways Minorities Were Screwed Out Of The History Books

Tenzing Norgay was treated better by history than those people mentioned in the article, but few remember him as the first man (actually, one of the two) to reach the summit of Everest. Before the Hillary/Hunt expedition, Norgay had been climbing Everest from various directions for almost two decades. When he made the summit of Everest, he was breaking his own record for the highest point ever climbed, and when he set that previous record, he was breaking a still-earlier record set by ... well, I'll bet you can guess who. Although his name is not on everyone's top-of-mind recall, Norgay is arguably the greatest mountaineer in history.
