All 47 Woody Allen movies - ranked from worst to best

All 47 Woody Allen movies - ranked from worst to best

The readers' poll at the bottom of the page actually did a better job than the critics, who confusingly rated some insignificant and insubstantial films much too high (A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy is #17 on the critics' list, while the readers more sanely placed it at #28.) Midnight in Paris, the best of Allen's recent efforts, is rated only #23 by the critics, while the readers love it at #5, which is too high, but I can see why. The dreary, Bergmanesque Interiors, a movie made for critics, is predictably rated #11 by the critics, while the people hated it, and ranked it near the bottom at #37.

Love and Death, a comedy classic, is rated #7 by the readers, but only #19 by the critics.

Crimes and Misdemeanors is too high on both lists, Bananas too low.

And why no love for What's Up Tiger Lily?, which was a hilarious, zero-budget send-up of Bond films.
