NCAAF College Football Scores - Week 2

NCAAF College Football Scores - Week 2

There were no upsets among the first tier teams, although Clemson and Georgia got scared a little.

If you mosey down the page a piece, you'll see that #15 TCU lost at home to Arkansas in OT, but that's no big surprise because Arkansas is tough.

What was a surprise was that #22 Oklahoma State lost a shocker to the unheralded Central Michigan Chippewas on a Hail Mary followed by a lateral. To make matters worse, that play should not have been allowed to start at all. It followed a misinterpreted rule which let the game continue when it should have been over. The conference and the refs admitted the mistake, but the result stands.

The craziest game occurred outside the top 25. Arizona State and Texas Tech fought a real defensive battle 68-55. Yeah, that's a football game, not basketball. Each team put up 600+ yards of offense and there were only three punts in the entire game. ASU came out on top, largely thanks to running back Kelen Ballage, who only had a modest 8-touchdown day. (And that was produced by only thirteen carries and two pass receptions! If he got the ball, he took it in.)
