2016 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 7

2016 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 7

Pretty cool: Western Michigan and Navy made the AP Top 25 in the bottom two slots.

But hold on: Sagarin the computer boy is OK with Western Michigan, a team which his formula rates 28th, but he still has his doubts about Navy, which fails to crack the top 50 despite defeating a team which had been in the humans' top 10.

The humans and the computers agree that the top five teams are Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Michigan and Washington, but differ somewhat in the order. Alabama comes close to being a unanimous choice as #1 in the human polls, while one of Sagarin's three algorithms ranks Alabama third, and his composite ranks OSU, Alabama and Michigan in a virtual three-way tie, with all other teams far behind.
