This ‘Conservative News Site’ Trended on Facebook, Showed Up on Fox News... and Duped the World

How do Marco Chacon’s fake articles and ‘leaked memos’—which parody the craziest alt-right conspiracies—keep fooling the conservative press and Trump’s followers?

The legendary singer-songwriter satirist Tom Lehrer stopped writing his ironic songs because he felt that his once-outrageous parodies were no longer more outrageous than the truth, thus making irony nugatory in an insane world. He may be been a bit premature in his judgment because he did that decades ago.

But ultimately ... he was right.
