The 10 Worst Movie Remakes Of All Time

The 10 Worst Movie Remakes Of All Time

Not even close. I can immediately name one worse than any of those they mentioned:

Rollerball,

which is a totally unwatchable movie.

The Wicker Man is a terrible film, but you can't call it unwatchable. It's the kind of crash that causes rubbernecking.

From the comments section:

(1) How about "The Heartbreak Kid," which went from a brilliant Elaine May/Neil Simon social satire with a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes to a dumb, tasteless Farrelly Brothers/Ben Stiller remake with a gross-out pubic hair scene (RT score: an incredibly generous 29%)?

(2) Compared to other people, I have a fairly high Alec Baldwin tolerance. He's the alpha-Baldwin, after all. But the Getaway remake is 2 hours of "Mr. Baldwin, you're no Steve McQueen."

  3. How did the keanu Reeves "Day the Earth Stood Still" avoid the list. How quickly we forget.

    1. Good catch.
I guess we forget out of some sort of traumatic amnesia, where it's too painful to remember.
Full disclosure though - I never saw the fucking thing, so it was easy for me to forget.
