On August 13, Trump dropped to 34% approval on Gallup

That places him in exclusive company. Obama never dropped that low, nor did Clinton, Ford or Reagan.

The only Presidents ever to drop below 34 were the Bushes, Truman, Nixon, and Carter.

Where Trump really stands out, however, is the height of his peak (or lack thereof). Every other US president has reached at least a 66 at some point, even Nixon. Trump has never topped 46. Because his peak is so modest, Trump's average approval rating is currently the lowest in history by a country mile. His average is below 40, while Truman and Carter were right around 45.

  1. And once again I have to ask, these are the same polls that declared Trump had only about a 3% chance of winning at all? Polls are easy. Tell me what conclusion you want to a specific problem or question and I will build you a scientific poll that proves your point. It all depends on who you poll and when.

    1. And once again I'll point out that is absolute nonsense. The national polls were highly accurate. On the average, the polls predicted Clinton would win by 3.2. She won by 2.1.

The only significant error was committed by those who extrapolated from that to an Electoral College win, which is not the pollsters fault, but the fault of the talking heads who read too much into them or flat-out misinterpreted them. The national pollsters merely reported the facts, and quite accurately at that.

    1. I have to think that being a "Trumpite cultist" is a better option than blindly following what ABC, NBC, CNN, etc are telling me to think. Problem with the dems is they currently have no direction, and have devolved into being against anything Trump wants to do. Some republicans fall into that category too, which is why next cycle of elections will be so interesting.

    2. All you moronic Trump cultists have, which includes you, is to mindlessly chant 'fake news' at every critical story or reaction to Trump.

  6. Time for my broken-record moment, too. The important things are -
STILL over 1/3 of Americans are in the tank for this stupid lying pimp, and
While everyone is busy with his N Korea-baiting and Nazi-hugging, we STILL don't know how deeply in debt to Russia he is - which is to say, where his real allegiance is.
