First reviews for Aronofsky's mother!

First reviews for Aronofsky's mother!

It was booed in Venice this morning.

One review: "Some will scrutinise mother! with widened eyes as they see deep into Aronofsky's failed marriage with actress Rachel Weisz. Others will dismiss it as pretentious twaddle and view the escalating abuse visited upon Lawrence's character as grossly misogynistic. But one thing's for sure: mother!, for all its patent influences, is like no other movie out there right now."

I can guess with some certainty that I will be on the "pretentious twaddle" side of the ledger.

    1. The Guardian loved it. Five stars and a long, detailed review.

  2. Hey, this might be only the second-weirdest "Mother!" movie:

"The story is so simple : Child of Kapa appears, and wants the grandfather's fake money. After Kapa gets into the invisible wall, he kills his son, and doesn't feel any sorrow, but he blinds."
