2017 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 7

2017 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 7

Oklahoma dropped out of the top ten.

Notre Dame jumped the most, five spots.

Sagarin's power rankings are a bit different. He ranks Ohio State #2, despite their loss. They are 8th and 9th in the human polls. His method does not single out TCU or Washington State as first-tier powerhouses. In fact he ranks them both below Florida State, which is 1-3 (against the nation's toughest schedule).

By the way, Sagarin's predictor shows high-scoring UCF as a 50 point favorite at home over East Carolina next week. The Vegas line is about 33-34.

  1. It was a deserved drop for Oklahoma. I mean, seriously -- they were playing at home, ranked #3 in the nation, and lost to an unranked Iowa State. Come on...IOWA STATE?

I remember a story that went around for awhile about them. Seems the Bookstore on campus had a big picture window and they would regularly put up fight messages about the upcoming weekend football game. Things like "WHUMP UP ON IOWA!" "KILL OREGON!" "STOMP ON WISCONSIN!" The week they were to play Nebraska, the window had "maintain dignity against Nebraska".
