Russia Needed Help Targeting U.S. Voters, Two Former CIA Leaders Say

That may be true literally, but is almost a meaningless statement, and is misleading in that it implies they needed some deep insider knowledge of US politics, when in fact any citizen who really follows U.S. elections could have directed them properly. How hard is it to figure out that you can't sway presidential voting results in Texas or California by enough votes to reverse the result, and you can't have much impact on the voting preferences of certain demographic groups? You can just save your money there in order to get a bang for your buck by targeting older, less-educated white voters in swing states, especially males, who seem more likely than women to "share" misguided and/or misleading memes. It doesn't take any great genius to frighten those people, then reassure them that "Trump will protect you from Muslims and Illegal Aliens."
