The Yankees force game five
Trevor Bauer had nothing. The Yankees used him for a pinata in the second, and that was all she wrote.
Bauer's 17-9 record this year was extremely deceptive. His WHIP was an unimpressive 1.37, which is worse than the WHIP during his previous career, when he won 30 with 32 losses.
And his ERA was a mediocre 4.19.
So how did he win 17 games? The Indians backed him with 5.5 runs per game. (And that wasn't even that impressive by their standards. They produced 6.2 runs per game for Carrasco, but Carrasco also pitched much better than Bauer.)
