I read a lot of the article. It seems excellent. Manafort was a world-class hustler who ultimately hitched his star to the president/dictator of the Ukraine, Yanushkevich (sp?). When the Ukrainians rose in revolt and threw him out, Manafort's world collapsed. He tried to recoup by connecting himself with Trump's presidential campaign, without considering that that would involve intense public scrutiny - which was the last thing Manafort could afford.
Yeah. I wasn't intending to read every word, but I ended up doing just that. I haven't done anything to fact-check it, but it's a good yarn.
