Re: site relocation

Look, I know the site looked better before. As time goes on, I’ll find a better way to use Word Press to get the look I want, but for now, it seems essential to change away from Blogger and their content warning, which also keeps the site’s posts from being indexed by Google.

I feel that it’s a shame. I’ve been using Blogger for this site since 2002.

But it’s time.

The proper bookmark is now http://othercrap.com

  1. Yeah seriously, the links go to nudity but the most shocking thing in the OC itself is the admission that camels have toes.

I have no love for Google, but you’d think they’d be smart enough to put some sort of appeals system in place beyond “someone said you’re naughty”.

  2. Hi there,
I’m cayne from phun.org – I tried to find an email address to contact you, but haven’t had any luck so far. Maybe you can contact me? I’ve added my email to the form.

I think it was the right decision to move away from blogger – but I can understand your frustration after being with a service for such a long time. I’m in a similar kind of boat, as I have to switch from my super old CMS to most likely WordPress as well.

I wanted to talk to you about a traffic trade and those things – would love to hear from you.

    all the best,
    cayne

  3. We will get used to it. I really like the ‘open in a new tab’ feature that you’ve been using recently. It avoids having to jump through hoops to get back to you when you link to an annoying site.

  4. Hey I have been with you since your begining. so i will stay loyal to whatever wordpress you use.

    stay golden Scoopy boy

  5. There is a lot of info on the web on how to easily transport your blogger website to wordpress especially since all the archives are in blogger.
You can also do a search to buy a wordpress theme that will work best for you. Good Luck

  6. If you need some help with WordPress!, let me know. Coded/programmed for it for about 10+ years and still working with UI/UX manipulation/creation. Would be happy to help. I’ve followed your site for YEARS!

  7. Ugh. I can’t read the text. Can you make the text a LOT larger? When I increase the size of the text via my browsers, the text of the titles/links merge into other and are unreadable and unusable. If I leave it a 100%, the text on your commentary is way too small to read.

    Thanks.

  8. Snoop, things are a bit of a mess on mobilie. You’re probably already aware but thought I’d give you a heads up in the unlikely event you weren’t.

  9. Just to say I’ve been visiting this site for a long time and appreciate its existence no matter what it looks like! Sorry it’s a pain wrestling with a new format, but will all work out eventually I’m sure.

  10. I certainly understand your frustration. The censors made the old arrangement untenable. It’s a shame when the asshats win.
