He just chose the wrong team. He’d have made the squad in Cleveland.

  1. Have you seen any of Johnny Manziel’s games with the Montreal Alouettes? That team is awful!

    1. Have not.

I’ll have to get up to speed. Making fun of Manziel is one of my favorite activities.

        1. Oh-oh! Now you’re making me feel bad for him. Sounds like he’s working his ass off in a situation that will produce an undeservedly bad outcome.

          1. Yes, I’m not all that familiar with football terminology but his problem is that the players who are supposed to protect him (I believe they’re the offensive linesmen) often leave him wide open, and his receivers often fumble (I believe that’s the correct term) passes they should easily catch.

However, apparently the Alouettes do have some good up and coming young players. So, if he stays with the team for a few seasons things should get better for him.

I didn’t see the parts of the games that I saw to check him out, but I happened to be around at the times the games were on (I also saw part of a B.C Lions football game.)

There are some better things I thing with the CFL than the NFL (it seems a lower percentage of plays are reviewed) but the quality of the players isn’t great, while having only 3 downs is frequently a momentum killer. For instance, if a team does decently and gets 8 yards on two downs, at 3rd and two they’ll usually punt the ball away.

However, despite that CFL scores are usually much higher than NFL scores.
