The game was essentially over in the first inning, when the Brewers had five hits and a walk. As usual, the Brewers bullpen was astounding. They pitched 4 2/3 and allowed no hits or walks. (The Dodgers got one baserunner on a HBP.) If the Brewers didn’t have to use a starter, they’d be unbeatable.

Jesus Aguilar was their hitting star with two doubles and a single, three RBI. Aguilar was a helluva pick-up by the Brewers. The Indians couldn’t find a spot for him after nine years in their system and some big numbers in the minors (188 homers in the minors and the winter leagues). They dumped him. The Brew-crew picked him up on waivers, and are paying him the minimum allowable. They love him. In 771 at bats he has 51 homers and 165 RBI. Assuming a full season of 600 at-bats, that works out to 40 homers and 128 RBI per season. Not bad for a minimum wage guy!

Joaquin Castro accuses Kushner of orchestrating killing of Khashoggi

Mind you, this is a guy who graduated from Stanford with honors and got his J.D. from Harvard Law, so he can’t really blame defective genes or a poor education. God only knows what was going through his head.

He referred to “the reporting that Jared Kushner may have, with U.S. intelligence, delivered a hit list, an enemies list, to the crown prince, to MBS, in Saudi Arabia and that the prince may have acted on that, and one of the people he took action against is Mr. Khashoggi.”

Castro, who serves on the House Intelligence Committee, told CNN he did not have substantial evidence to support his claim, but repeatedly cited media reports on the subject.” He did not identify those mysterious reports. Perhaps he reads crackpot sources like this.

In other words, Castro had no evidence for accusing the President’s son-in-law of orchestrating a brutal murder, but claimed “people are saying” and he did not identify those people. He truly followed the Gospel According to Trump!

Yes, quite the battle. In the heat of the fierce skirmish in which Khashoggi was more than holding his own, he tripped and fell on a bone saw. Terrible accident.

That “fight” claim is technically true. He died in a fight in the same sense that Sharon Tate died in a fight. That stubborn fool Khashoggi had a strong preference for the fashion statement he made with his head attached, and thus fought to keep it on, at least to the best of his ability.

Today’s lesson for you kids: while the pen is mightier than the sword, it pales in comparison to the bone saw.

Needless to say, the Saudis are rounding up the usual suspects as scapegoats. Their goal now is to admit the undeniable facts, while casting blame away from Prince MbS (who essentially IS the Saudi government), and thus avoiding American reprisals by confirming a version of Trump’s “rogue agent” theory. The US has been told Saudis were preparing to pin the blame on Major General Ahmed al-Assiri for misunderstanding orders given by Prince Mohammed.

However …

US officials have told CNN that the operation could not have been carried out without the knowledge of Prince MbS, Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler.

Oh, by the way, Prince MbS is heading up the investigation. “The Saudis have set up a commission, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, that will restructure the Saudi general intelligence directorate and will have one month to release a report, state TV said.”

Needless to say, the Saudis are fully aware that only a gullible idiot would be convinced that MbS could head up an impartial investigation into his own involvement. Gee, I wonder who they think they could fool.

Oh.

Never mind.

Fair enough! At least he’s honest.

“But he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault for body slamming a reporter.”

“I understand that. But I think the point he was making was that he wasn’t talking about the press. He was just making the case, hey, anybody that can pick someone up and body slam them, that’s my kind of guy.”

So if I understand Santorum (which is not easy because this is a guy who once called intelligent design “a legitimate scientific theory that should be taught in science classes”), it is not any better to body slam a reporter than, let’s say, a Republican congressman, but either one is the sign of a cool guy!

Good to know!

From the comment section:

In your original since-deleted post (still seen on the RSS feed) you said, “Thank heaven she finally realized that, although we have all seen her butt, we have never seen her asshole.”

Now why would you edit out that great straight line before the proper punch line could be applied?

Scoop’s response:

The original source of the photo (I think it was Imgur) deleted the image, so I had to delete the post. I later found an alternative.

I take it you were ready to spring in with your Kanye joke?
