One thing about Spade I’ll give him credit for: in some interviews, he’s essentially acknowledged that he’s virtually talentless. He considers himself lucky to have any fame & fortune at all. So he is in touch with reality, at least.
I agree with you. He’s a good guest on Howard Stern. He’s completely grounded in reality, and sometimes pretty funny. He seems like he would be a good guy to hang out with for a couple of hours.
And he was VERY funny when he hosted the Rob Lowe roast on Comedy Central. I don’t know whether he wrote his own material, but he had some great zingers in there!
Of course that won’t keep me from ridiculing him.
