NY Supreme Court rules against Trump Foundation

The court ruled against Trump’s petition to dismiss the state’s case against the fraudulent use of The Trump Foundation. The case will proceed.

The ruling was obvious enough since the suit has nothing to do with Trump’s actions as President, but Trump’s attorneys presented several reasons to dismiss, and you never know how these things will go.

  1. Christ, what a fuckstick. One fine day he will die and they won’t have to bury him, they’ll just screw him into the ground.

  2. The more we learn about Trump, the more we can be certain that his “charitable” foundation was an utter sham from day one. He seems to be one of the most selfish and self-centered men on earth.

  3. “The New York Supreme Court is the oldest Supreme Court with general original jurisdiction. It was established as the Supreme Court of Judicature by the Province of New York on May 6, 1691. That court was continued by the State of New York after independence was declared in 1776. It became the New York Supreme Court under the New York Constitutional Convention of 1846.”

  4. Your headline is accurate but potentially misleading to people who aren’t familiar with New York State’s Court system. For no particular reason I am aware of, in New York the “Supreme Court” is the trial court. The highest appellate court (what are called the Supreme Courts in other states and the Federal system) is the “Court of Appeals.” I went to law school in Virginia and I remember several students who weren’t from New York complaining about New York’s system being confusing.
