Well, maybe I should say that it COULD be legal, depending on the details of the conversations. If it was “Paulie agrees to lie if your guy agrees to pardon him,” then not so much.

Hmmm… get a person on the inside that knows what Mueller is looking for. He gets tried and convicted on a handful of non-Russia, non-collusion, non-campaign related charges. He keeps the Trump camp informed and when it comes time to start serving time, Trump issues a Presidential pardon and still knows what kind of bullshit Mueller is up to!
And people think Trump is dumb…..
