  1. Some 20-30 years ago, in my world travels, I was lucky enough to have big projects in Belgium twice. Great country. Great food. The beers are tremendous, but I’m not sure about a “tour.” It depends how many days you have and how many you can handle per day. I don’t know how many of those tripels and quadrupels you can get down per day and still retain your taste buds, not to mention your ability to walk upright. Granted, I’m not a drinker, but I’d get woozy on one of those quadrupels, and after one of those I probably couldn’t tell a good beer from a freakin’ Ballantine Ale.

  2. In Ontario, the LCBO has a better than average selection of beers. Of these, Duvel is a great, at least for North American standards, but in Belgium, it would be classified as only average. On my bucket list is to take a beer touring trip of Belgium, the wife can go shopping or whatever.

  3. I’ve heard if it. That’s the crap they made me drink at business dinners when I lived there. They’ll deliver 6-8 1-liter bottles of Snows to the table and serve you in little 4oz glasses throughout the night. There’s a lot of ganbei and you finish all the bottles and it really sucks.
