Speaking of Elizabeth Montgomery, back in the day I remember hearing about the so-called European version of her Lizzie Borden movie, which supposedly had some real Liz nakidity. I don’t mean a near or semi-nip slip, but something much more revealing than that. Was that story apocryphal? If not, have those pics/vids ever shown up anywhere??? It would really rewrite my childhood if those pics existed and could be seen.

I don’t know about that. The only Montgomery nudity I have seen was in the Borden film and Between the Darkness and the Dawn. In both cases it was just enough of the breasts to expose the nipples.

    1. I don’t know about that. The only Montgomery nudity I have seen was in the Borden film and Between the Darkness and the Dawn. In both cases it was just enough of the breasts to expose the nipples.

  2. Yup. They had a slightly different take on it here. Chloe, as Lizzie, stripped naked and took an axe to give her mother the proverbial forty whacks, but when the maid saw what she had done, ’twas Kirsten tried for forty one.

    (It was actually Stewart, as the Bordens’ maid, Bridget Sullivan, who stripped naked to kill the dad, but she couldn’t go through with it, so a fully-clad Chloe had to take over! In this version, Lizzie and Bridget were lovers.)

    I think this was based on Ed McBain’s take on the murders, but I haven’t found any official acknowledgement of McBain as the originator. I don’t know whether this movie strictly adheres to McBain’s novel, or perhaps just built upon the lesbian angle that McBain originated

  3. Must be the Lizzie Borden story. Chloe’s stills are remarkably similar to Elizabeth (“Bewitched”) Montgomery’s 1975 tv take on the story, which was the first I think to suggest that Lizzie had done the murders in the nude. And she came soooo close to actually flashing the goods on commercial television. Some stills actually show a bit.
