Louis C.K. mocks the survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting
“Louis says the kids who survived are not interesting just because they went to a high school where people were shot, and that he shouldn’t have to listen to them just because they ‘pushed some fat kid in the way.'”
Did Lenny Bruce start this comedy of outrageousness about 50-60 years ago? Is it ever going to die? Maybe it’s just me, but I’m sick of it. Although maybe it’s just that Louis C.K. seems to be on the wrong side of history here, as if Lenny had made fun of the Martin Luther King or the JFK or RFK assassinations. Or if he had made fun of Richard Specks victims for their failure to avoid being murdered.
So maybe Louis C.K. IS being witty here, but I just don’t like his choice of target. Either way, I don’t like him.
This is another small-audience story, like the yacht one.
