Beautiful! She looks spectacular. This isn’t “fake,” but it has been brightened and color-corrected from the original HBO broadcast version. It might have been one of the top ten nude scenes of the year if it had looked like this!
And here is the discussion of the scene on Reddit, which may be interesting to you. There are many theories: CGI, partial body double (like Lena Headey in the walk of shame), merkin … take your pick. They are all theories. There are no quotes from Tessa or any of the techies from the series.
It does kinda look like a partial body double. Something not right about those breasts.
I read a while back that merkins are *always* used on Westworld; it’s in the actors’ contracts that they have to be measured for them, etc. That is such a bummer that they’re used so much these days.
Well, I suppose there’s no choice if the story takes place in former centuries, given that modern actresses are probably groomed.
But I’m not sure why they would be necessary in a fantasy story which takes place at an indeterminate time in the future or, for that matter, a story set in the present day.
It’s to bypass a full-nudity clause; she’s not completely nude, she’s wearing a muff.
