Sarah Alexander – full frontal nudity

The full-frontal is the clearest version I have seen of this 1997 episode of Armstrong and Miller (s1e1) Full frontal

Oz, our resident all-inclusive archivist, who must have watched almost everything ever shot with a motion camera, reported these 23 years ago! He commented: “They did a series of sketches called Nude Practice. For those familiar with English television it was a cross between All Creatures Great and Small, and Peak Practice. Sarah Alexander was one of three country veterinarians who spent their whole day nude. Not a pleasant thought in the north of England.”

Here is the pictured full-frontal sketch with sound (on YouTube):

  1. Interview with Sarah: “The best time has to be when he asked me to be involved in Armstrong and Miller for Channel 4. I reckon that was my best job ever. I can’t forget the Nude Practice sketch we did in a hurry; we were vets, wearing nothing except boots, a cap and gloves – in November, in the Peak District – very weird! Ben is utterly hilarious, bonkers of course, and a constant source of inspiration to me.”
Doesn’t sound like she’ll be suing anybody after the fact! I see this video from time to time, & go Wow, that is one gorgeous woman to be doing that for some sketch show! Then I realize she later was on Coupling, the UK equivalent of Friends, so this is like if Aniston did full frontal pre-Friends – & now with Naked Attraction UK TV has gotten even more brazen, bless ’em

    1. Really hard to believe this is the only nudity Sarah has done. Such a pretty girl, she must have been asked to take her clothes off for roles all the time, and the only time she said yes was a full frontal for a sketch comedy show? Was there no big screen role that could have gotten her to show off that delightful figure of hers?

  2. Definitely from ‘Armstrong and Miller’ series 4 (2001) when, as part of their sketch show, they did a parody of a popular medical show called Peak Practice. Their sketch, starring Alexander Armstrong, Ben Miller and Sarah Alexander, was called Nude Practice.

    1. Yup, but I think you have the date slightly off, at least on the full-frontal. I don’t think it could be 2001, since you yourself posed these in 2000! I know there’s a time difference between us and Australia, but …

You labeled it 1997 when you posted it, which seems correct, since the YouTube clip is labeled s1e1.

      1. Did you happen to repost these photos in honor of Sarah Alexander’s 52nd birthday? That is today (1/3). I fell in love with her when I first saw the original Coupling. It is amazing how terrible the American version of that show was and how awesome the British version was. That by itself might not seem all that unusual. But the quality was so different even though the American version basically reused the original scripts. I think a good deal of the credit (and blame) has to go to the casts. I had seen the screen grabs of her nudity before, but I had never seen the skit until this morning. I have to say I really prefer the payoff to the Austin Power like nudity that Armstrong & Miller had. The original Austin Powers film was the same year (1997) so I am not sure who came up with the idea first. But either way, gotta love English broadcast standards and practices.
