Betting on The Iron Throne

You can place a bet on who will be ruling Westeros at the end of GoT, so if you have a script, I’m sure some gamblers would like to talk to you about a partnership.

  • The betting favorite is Bran Stark, at about even money.
  • A lot of people seem to think it will be Sansa (3-1)
  • Jon Snow is the next choice (5-1).
  • The new power couple: Gendry comes in at 8-1, Arya 12-1.
  • The Khaleesi is a long shot a 14-1.

I’m all in on Bronn at 150-1. I don’t really think he will get the job. I just want him to. If they decided it like a sort of “Westeros Idol,” where the audience votes, I’d be calling the toll-free number for Bronn non-stop.

  1. Jon and/or Daenerys would be the safe Hollywood pathway at this point, but would also be sort of a betrayal of the original anything-goes/anyone-can-die spirit of the series.

I think for them to really stick the landing they need to surprise us and maybe even piss some of us off a little, but in a logical and plausible fashion.

  2. The last two seasons have been moving toward either Jon or Daenerys, both of them, and/or their offspring being the ultimate winner.

My underdog favorite is Sam and his wildling wife being the winners. Although I think it will be more dramatic if Sam murders The Khaleesi out of revenge for executing his father and brother, whereupon Jon executes Sam.

I do think it’ll be Jon, with an child of he and Daenerys to raise. Let’s not forget about the Dragons. More eggs will be found, or birthed.

  3. Holy shit, that’s news to me (I’m obviously not one of the super-hardcore watchers). That link you provided wasn’t very clear, but I Googled a few other sites that explained it better.

    1. Just about any theory you can imagine has been advanced somewhere, some based on 1% tiny detail and 99% imagination. As far as I can tell, this one is pure speculation, mostly just some clever fan fiction, if you will.

There are other spoilers available elsewhere which are grounded in leaks , and none of those suggest a living Littlefinger, at least none that I know.
