Chairman Nadler Rejects DOJ Demand that House Cancel Contempt Vote Before Resuming Negotiations

One further example of how Democrats always get outsmarted

As I pointed out before, here is the right way to do it:

    • 1. Drop the contempt charges in exchange for the unredacted materials.
    • 2. Once you get the materials, subpoena Barr to discuss his handling of the materials.
    • 3. When he refuses to testify, THEN file new contempt charges.

That way you keep your word, you get the contempt citation on the record, and you get the materials you need. This seems so simple and obvious, Why does this solution elude Nadler?

      1. Exactly. When you have snakes like McConnell who even embraces being a lying, hypocritical piece of trash – you have to even the odds.

It’s gotten to the point where it doesn’t even matter if a politician kills someone to appease their base, as long as the ends justify the means. Which is sad, but its exactly what Trump, McConnell, and Graham have turned this into.

  1. You’re assuming the DOJ would provide the unredacted materials…DOJ is just in delay mode.

    1. You may be right. In fact, you probably are. But they wouldn’t be able to buy much time. If they don’t produce on schedule, the House can resume the contempt charge.

  2. You’re playing chess, Nadler’s crouching by the side of the road and rubbing gravel in his hair.
