  1. Gold is valuable because it is rare.

    If it is no longer rare than it is no longer valuable.

    You will note that “worth his weight in lead,” has never been an expression denoting extreme wealth

    It’s the one thing Libertarians can’t seem to rap their heads around. Sooner or later gold will no longer be rare.

    1. Don’t worry, I’m sure when gold’s scarcity is gone, they’ll have an answer for everything. Let the ‘invisible hand’ guide the market. Right into the billionaires bank accounts like it always does.
