Bonnie Bedelia topless

Bonnie Bedelia in The Stranger (1986)

When I wrote my review of this film, it was based on a VHS viewing. The captures here represent the first time I’ve ever seen anything from the film in good quality. (It’s now available from Amazon Prime in HD.)

In addition to the B&W flashback scene pictured above, Bedelia also did a very brief topless scene in color, seen here.

My review can be summed up in two sentences: (1) This movie is pretty damned good for a low-budget flick you never heard of; (2) Bonnie Bedelia should have become a bigger star.

  1. The young Bonnie Bedelia also reminds me very much of the young Leighton Meester.

  2. I truly admire your ability to pick out obscure movies worth checking out. Thanks!

By the way, I most remember Bonnie Bedelia for her performance in Presumed Innocent, especially that monologue.

    1. She goes back a long way. I think her most famous film, at least the one in which she had a staring role, was Heart Like a Wheel. The wiki entry on the film is quite interesting. The movie is based on a real drag racer, and she did not like either Bonnie Bedelia or her performance.

  3. Bonnie Bedelia’s best nude scenes were in a film (it seems it was originally a made for tv film) called Then Came Bronson. I first saw her years after it first aired in a nice ‘weeper’ film called Message to My Daughter that co-starred Martin Sheen.

    She is very attractive.
