John Delaney’s staffers have asked him to drop out of the 2020 race

You know things are bad when the people you hired to help you get elected say. “Please, fire us!”

Although, in all fairness, they probably don’t know which candidate he is.

The only thing I know about him is that he’s a sorta pugnacious bald dude. If Central Casting determined the role of each individual, Delaney would be the junior high football coach who also has to teach two history classes even though he majored in Phys Ed.

  1. With another election upcoming, I honestly wonder quite a few things about campaign finance:

Number one, where does all this money GO? I honestly have barely heard of the guy, and he’s spent $19 MILLION apparently! What kind of marketing campaign are these guys running? They are completely out of touch with reality. I could give 190 different Twitch and Youtube streamers $100,000 sponsorships for my campaign and it would be a better use of whatever these people are doing with it. And this guy is chump change compared to most. How effective are these goofy campaign methods to hold rallies and travel for the people who ALREADY support you? How effective are the yearly local news commercial attack ads? Quite frankly, I don’t believe they are at all.

Number two, what kind of people actually DONATE to campaigns? I mean, plenty of people do it, but even with my own views and support – the most I’m willing to do for someone is vote. I’m not giving them a thousand, a hundred, or even a dollar. That money could go to a charity, instead of the above reasons just explained why most of the money spent makes no sense.

You’re not convincing Trump supporters of anything, and he’s definitely not convincing me of anything, so I wonder the point of these draconian strategies.
