Second round of Dem debates – pretty much the same

There will still be 20 debaters, consisting of 19 losers to be chewed up and spat out by the love god, Hickenlooper.

Swalwell is out, so there was room for Bullock.

  1. Now for the easiest part of any coach’s job – the cuts:
    Bennet – cut
deBlasio, Delaney – hit the showers
Inslee – good work on the environment, but sorry
Klobuchar – get back in the Senate; maybe next time
Beto – go knock off Cornyn, then we’ll talk
Ryan – how are you even here? cut
Williamson – go achieve oneness, you’re cut

The rest of you: two laps now, see you at the debates. Remember, Round THREE is the thunderdome.

      1. No, it was mistake not to cut Bullock, just a straight-up whiff.

But with Hickenlooper, Castro, Gillibrand… there’s at least a chance they might do something interesting. It’s not like they’re going to come roaring back and win it all (although, never say never – picture where Carter was this time in ’75), but they might still be good debate fodder.

  2. 10 people at each time, on each day. I don’t see how anyone’s message gets through in these.

I say you make an NCAA Tournament esque bracket and have a 1 vs. 16 seed with eight one on one 15 minute debates with three questions each.

Let the crowd vote on the winner to advance. At least it would provide some entertainment other than who can get the best one liner in, throughout a crowd of people.
