It’s easy to accuse people of being uneducated when you can’t think for yourself. You guys are like Scientologists to L Ron Hubbard, I’ve yet to see a ‘MAGAer’ actually use logic instead of anecdotal and emotional responses to anything. I’ve rarely seen any Trump supporters question him on ANYTHING. It’s always double, triple, quadruple down on anything. So they’ve voted against their economic cause to spite minorities ever since, while their Republican heroes eroded job after job to major corporations and brainwashed their constituents to believe it’s the doing of the boogeyman of the month ever since.

I wasn’t likely to shell out for another Bond movie anyway, but this just feels like the series’ desperate cry for attention. Guess it was bound to happen after the wads of cash made by the lady Ghostbusters.
Did you read the article? Daily mail is a terrible new source anyway, with clickbait articles, but the plot the new movie is apparently Bond retired, and returns, so someone else got the 00 secret agent number that used to be his. That’s all.
It sounds no different than the black woman playing Moneypenny who was essentially an agent in the last few movies. But I guess websites have to do the whole dog whistle internet outrage thing to create clicks.
After screwing up SPECTRE, I’m willing for them to try anything fresh. The franchise is badly in need of a reboot. The cinematography and action scenes are always great, and even the setup in even most of the poor films, but the plot in the second half of the movies have been falling off a cliff.
Yeah, I’ve been with it since Connery was helping Ursula undress. The Craig reboot wasn’t terrible, but the last time they did something actually cool was when they stealthed in Michelle Yeoh – a legit action hero – into Tomorrow Never Dies.
Much as anything, they’ve just done everything you can do with Bond. Agreed though, this will offend the easily-offended, with possibly amusing results.
Casino Royale is one of the best, and Skyfall is pretty good, if a little bit silly in logic how to come to its final showdown.
Spectre just had so many bad tropes in the movie, that came up spectacularly bad. The main enemy secretly was from the protagonists past. The main enemy also was ‘behind’ all the plots of all the protagonists previous movies, even though it wasn’t built up as that at all. Bond takes a freaking DRILL into the brain and it has no effect on him. He falls in love with a completely nondescript side character who did not particularly special to build that plot. Then lets the antagonist off the hook at the end out of nowhere, going completely against his character and build up.
Just an odd, odd movie. When you hear about things like major script rewrites or not even being FINISHED with the script as it’s filming, you know things are going bad. A similar thing happened with Quantum of Solace, as Craig was filling in for a lot of the writing himself as the writers strike was going on at the time.
This is likely Craig’s final Bond film, so I hope he can at least go out respectable. If they can’t write a proper script, they should just use a tried and true plot like they did with Casino Royale.
