As a US territory, it could eventually become the largest U.S. State in area, but by far the smallest in population. Although it is three times the size of Texas, only 56,000 people live there, and there are no settlements with more than 20,000 inhabitants.

The capital, Nuuk, looks sort of livable. July and August are the only months free from snow in that town, but temperatures can reach the 70s in summer, albeit rarely. The average high in July is a still-chilly fifty (ten centigrade).
