I believe “Slippery Balls” was one of the Bardahl villains, along with “Dirty Sludge,” “Sticky Valves,” “Gummy Rings,” and my personal hero, “Blackie Carbon.”
When I was very tiny, those Bardahl commercials scared the hell out of me!
I remember Bardahl but unfortunately never saw that on TV. Living in Lalaland at the time – Whittier to be exact. The ad that always sticks in my mind is the “from the land of sky blue waters…” (Hamms Beer). Good beer too as I found out quite a bit later.
Thanks. I had forgotten about the Bardahl TV ads. I remembered the ads in the auto magazines, but not these.
