New polls show Bernie surging.

He’s on the rise, and now leading, in both Iowa and New Hampshire.

Both states are now lining up as follows: (1) Crazy Bernie, (2) Sleepy Joe, (3) Alfred E Neuman, (4) Pocahontas, (5) Amy “Too Boring For a Nickname” Klobuchar

Nationally, Biden is still the frontrunner, but Bernie is gaining and has opened up a massive lead over Warren. Mayor Pete has dropped to fifth, behind Bloomberg; Klobuchar is way down in seventh, behind Yang. (Yang is trending upward.)

Damn, I miss Loopy!

  1. LOL. I thought the Hillbot’s campaign in 16 was the worst one since Dole’s. “He’s a Liberal!!!!” (actually Bill Clinton was quite successful in coopting some Republican issues, severely hacking off the Left in the process. A dogmatic liberal he wasn’t.)
Bet Biden loves the timing of the paternity suit stuff with his useless offspring. Hunter is a ne’er-do-well’s ne’er-do-well even with the Ukraine stuff being completely bogus.

  2. I’m a Biden supporter, but he’s running a lazy, uninspired campaign. Reminds me a little of Dole’s campaign in ’96 – an old establishment guy who isn’t exciting anybody.

  3. Hell, Bernie couldn’t beat Donald Jr. That won’t stop him from trying in 24 though if he’s still around.

  4. Bernie is surging for a reason, the establishment is shook. We have such a brainwashed cult in America of saying the “S-word” (socialism) that people can’t put logic over what’s been beaten into them for decades by the rich cult leaders. Of course socialism already exists – for the the rich – in terms of decades of bailouts, tax breaks, golden parachutes, white collar prisons, offshore tax havens, and stock manipulation. But the time you utter a much, much lower bar of protections for the working class – like staying alive – you may as well have acted to some as if a nuclear bomb went off. Yet we accept it EVERY SINGLE DAY for a very small handful of individuals.

When you have 160 people holding half the of entire world’s wealth, the answer is pretty simple to me. I don’t believe in false gods. If you do, so be it. 7.7 billion people were not born onto this earth to act as slaves for a couple hundred, or even a couple thousand people. We’re not even talking outside of those 160, but that is ALL that it would take to double the entire rest of the world’s wealth. Kings have been overthrown for much less over human history.

Institutions that profit from life and death on what to charge so someone can stay alive after getting cancer should not exist. It’s now been proven through the scientists who had to push through the Ebola vaccine in Canada that pharmaceutical companies actually made it TOUGHER to push through. Privatization doesn’t solve problems, they are an impediment to medical progress. If the polio vaccine were patented, it likely would still be around today.

Here we are on the verge of another viral outbreak, and the only thing companies like Merck can see are the dollar signs.

You choose who you work for and worship. You think you were put on this early so everyone from the Saudi family to Jeff Bezos can put it up your ass a little further, then just vote for Trump again. You think a friend or family member deserves to die of cancer if they can’t afford it, then vote for Trump. Because that’s exactly who you are as a person if you choose to go that route, and your little justifications over it boil down to nothing more than that.

  5. My brother-in-law said he wanted Trump to win the GOP nomination so that Hillary would be a lock in the general. The problem with wanting the opposing party to nominate the worst candidate to make it easier for your candidate to win, is those awful candidates sometimes win anyway. I don’t particularly want to Trump to be reelected, but if I did, I still wouldn’t want Bernie to be the Dem nominee. He’s the candidate Trump is most likely to beat, but Bernie could win and I believe that could be disastrous for this country. I am sure Trump wants Bernie because he cares more about what’s best for Trump then what’s best for the U.S. I’m a lifelong Republican, but I will vote for Biden, Bloomberg, Yang, Klobuchar or Mayor Pete. But if it’s Trump or Bernie Sanders I will hold my nose and vote for Trump. I may even go out and campaign for him.

Ironically, I came pretty close to switching my party registration to Democrat last year. That’s because I almost bought an apartment in AOC’s district. If I had, I would have become a Democrat to vote against her in the Democrat primary. Elliot Engle had been my congressman for the past 30 years. I actually took a political science class in college about organizing an election campaign that was taught by Engle’s chief of staff/campaign manager. Because Engle’s district was so overwhelmingly Democratic (like 80% registered Democrats) all Engle cared about was “registered Democrats that vote in primary elections.” I wonder if Rep Jose Serrano’s cares about me. I just moved into his district. But I don’t have strong enough feelings about him to motivate me to switch parties. But if the GOP keeps nominating Trump like candidates I may switch anyway.

Of course, If I wanted to actually make a difference I should have moved to Florida. But I’d hate being a cliche.
