Trump pardoned a man whose family donated over $200,000 to Trump’s campaign in the past six months

And about $150,000 more to the RNC!

Pogue’s son and his daughter-in-law have donated over $200,000 to Trump’s campaign since August, (per) Federal Election Commission filings. Ben and Ashleigh Pogue donated $135,000 to the Trump Victory PAC in August, and Ben Pogue made an in-kind air-travel donation of about $75,000 in September.”

The couple also donated over $147,000 to the Republican National Committee.

They have no history of ever having made previous political donations in excess of $11,000.

The justification for Pogue’s pardon? “He paid 90% of his taxes. It’s not like he didn’t pay taxes. He didn’t pay (the rest) because he thought he was paying too much.”

Oh, he thought he was paying too much? Then I guess it’s OK!

  1. Do you think what the president states can be used in court to defend oneself? I mean he says so many great things! ‘I didn’t pay my taxes, your honor, because I felt like it was too much and as our Great Leader said, that is acceptable.”

    1. The court will only buy that defense if the judge is a recent Trump/McConnell appointee. But it will certainly help in getting a pardon from Trump, provided you support the correct political candidate of your choice, of course.

    1. Of course it doesn’t matter. Trump sunk as low as having a rally for the Kentucky governor who then pardoned a murderer, and a pedophile child abuser when he left office, because of campaign donations.

There’s really no low to the Republican party. That’s why these idiotic ‘centrist middle ground’ candidates should not be elected. There is no middle ground, Republicans only care about greed, gluttony, and selfishness and brainwash the least intelligent of the populace to do so.

Trump is basically another version of L Ron Hubbard. I imagine once he’s out of office he’ll start his own religion for his cult.

      1. Nooooow, don’t go tarring Lafayette R. Hubbard (no, really) with the same brush as Trump. By all accounts, he could write a sentence in English. Trump can barely read one. He founded a money-making “religion”. Trump couldn’t organize labor in a maternity ward. Trump is inept, L. Ron – totally ept.
See? Standing next to Trump can make any person, disease, or abstract concept look good.
