Moriah Shannon topless in the guilty pleasure film, D.C. Cab (1983)

It’s a big, sloppy movie, but it’s easy to watch. As Roger Ebert wrote, “‘D. C. Cab’ is not an entirely bad movie — it has its moments — but if it had used more actual taxi-riding incidents and more recognizable driver types, it could have been a little masterpiece.”

Joel Schumacher directed this film very early in his directorial career, and he came up with quite an eclectic cast, including Mr. T, Bill Maher, Gary Busey and WoJo from Barney Miller.

Schumacher loved to take risks with his casting. Sometimes that casting evinced his sheer genius (a then-unknown Colin Farrell in Tigerland), and sometimes it didn’t work out quite so well (George Clooney and Chris O’Donnell as Batman and Robin, or Gerard Butler as the Phantom of the Opera).
