  1. Jesus. Normally if you’re being cynical I’m right there with you. But. Bernie would have won in ’16, he can beat Trump now. Biden will lose bigger than Hilary. I get it – this far into his third presidential race, he’s *finally* won a state. The Joe-mentum is unstoppable. Let’s see where we’re at around lunchtime on Wednesday. Scuse me, I’ve suddenly developed this dread fear of water, I better get to a doctor.

  2. Bernie is the disaster for the Dems….a bunch of rabid Democrats think Bernie can win…nobody else does and that includes Vlad.

  3. When is everyone going to realize this guy can’t deliver one thing he says.If he wins the Dems most likely loses the House. And the Senate goes more Republican,he has conned the young voters who have not been around long enough to see this same political bullshit of promises and then blames Congress and nothing gets passed. The kids will not get free education ,medicare for all forget and student debt gone forget it,minimum wage $15 an hour right. If by some freak chance he won two words for you Mitch McConnell .Same shit

  4. If Sanders wins just a plurality of the delegates and voters, the Democrats would likely hand the nomination to Biden under the current rules. That would be a PR disaster for the Dems — Sanders voters would feel cheated, and the Convention would be the most divisive since 1968.

For the sake of the country, I hope this doesn’t happen.

    1. Come on. Like no one has showed up short but in the lead and has to get the job done at the convention before? Lincoln anyone? I know it hasn’t happened lately (Ford/Reagan in 76?) but it’s still how things work.
If Bernie voters think their man should have the rules changed to hand him a nomination without getting a majority, they are actually as ignorant, immature, and mywayorthehighway as they often appear.
If it’s an open convention and Bernie doesn’t get to have the rules changed so he can have his way, tough.
I looked at the 68 numbers. The convention was a horror show and one of my friends had the uncomfortable honor of being thumped by a Daley thuglet. But if you start looking at the November election electoral vote breakout it seems that the Wallace AIP voters (or the Apes if you prefer) were the big problem for Hubert Horatio Hornblower. These were almost all usual Democrats. Which way would they have gone if no Wallace? My guess is most of them in the big states would have stayed Dem. They probably had no problem with the convention zoo at all and greatly enjoyed the sight of Chicago’s finest beating up dirty hippies.
Sanders voters already feel (wrongly) that the nomination was stolen in 16. Screw em. If they are unpatriotic enough to stay home and not vote against Trump in November then doublescrew em.
