The Madness of King Don

    1. The Fark.com thread about this Trump tweet was 90% links to songs about cars.

  1. My $0.02… Often times when Trump provides such a tweet it makes a statement that you need to dive into and think about to connect the dots and understand or at least try to understand the purpose of the message. Here, a majorly under reported issue or bubble that we could be seeing next is underwater auto loans and that delinquent loans since December have hit an almost 2 decade old high.

The majority of these loans are due to roll over of previous underwater loans or loans made to subprime borrowers especially to individuals under the age of 30. We can go on and debate the simple economics behind this but I do see a lifeline granted to help bridge the gap and keep this from becoming the next crisis.

Fall back here to Trump’s tweet, one of his many enemies is the Fed and or large banks controlling the fed and the fact they are viewed as liberal institutions by many. The thought is that these banks enslave the average American to work their life away to simply satisfy the debt service that we all are carrying thus justifying his statement before this topic or something similar is reported on by the MSM in the coming days/weeks.

    1. On the other hand, maybe the tweet merits much less thought than we (or Trump) have given it.

    2. Yes, yes, we know, Midwest Conservative, it takes an awful lot of blather to make nonsense sound like sense. This specific tweet of Trump’s is a particularly hard nut to crack, because it contains so much that is simply factually false. But I am sure you and Sean Hannity and so on are up to it, because it does not take much to deceive those who are eager to be deceived.

    3. You’re correct that car loans are a potential bubble that will likely be a big problem. Its smaller than the housing sub-prime crisis but its still there.

You’re incorrect that a GOP president and a GOP congress will do anything about it. Especially if that President is Trump. Trump and his cronies only care about one thing: short-term tax cuts for people who don’t need them. If there is a car loan crisis Trump will likely be gone from office and won’t have to deal with it.

  2. That’s just silly. When we come for their guns, we are going to have to drive away in something

  3. If Trump really said this, it is just more evidence that he is A) willing to tell even the most childish kind of lie, and B) is cracked in the head. Since he is not very creative, I wonder if he got it from some kind of right-wing nutjob site (if, once again, he actually tweeted it)? Also, I wonder what Michigan Trump supporters think of it? I’d really like to know.

    1. Assuming his Twitter was not hacked, he really Tweeted that.

It could be hilarious if his Twitter were ever to be hacked, because the hacker could post all kinds of loony nonsense, and Trump’s supporters would jump in to defend the Tweets (until the hacking was revealed).

Of course the other side of that is that hacker-Trump probably couldn’t post things much crazier than real-Trump.
