Since I’m encouraging New Yorkers to go on with your lives + get out on the town despite Coronavirus, I thought I would offer some suggestions. Here’s the first: thru Thurs 3/5 go see “The Traitor” @FilmLinc. If “The Wire” was a true story + set in Italy, it would be this film.

The Democrat that was expected to be the next Democratic (following 5 straight GOP wins) mayor of NYC was a Brooklyn Congressman that my grandmother admired quite a bit. My grandmother had lived in Brooklyn her entire life until my mother made her move in with her at age 90. She passed away before Anthony Wiener became a national disgrace and laughingstock. There were several Democrats that ran for the Democratic nomination. As I recall, they were mostly unknown and all doing about equally well until DiBlasio ran a TV ad. In the ad, a black teen with a large afro talks about how great DiBlasio was and then ended with “and he’s my dad.” In the opinion of a lot of New Yorkers, myself included, Dante DiBlasio is the reason his father got elected.
Worst mayor NYC has ever had. And thats saying a lot.
Am still scratching my head over how a Dinkins dolt ended up being mayor.
What a tool.
