“President Donald Trump says NFL season should start on time”

But WHICH season?

    1. Oh, Trump is rational enough, Tanner. It’s just that all his decisions are based on what is good for him, and him alone. Of course, this includes doing things that make him look good, and that includes actually doing his job, when necessary. But it is always biased toward his power, his image, and his personal advantage.

I know you were not speaking precisely, just as I am not when I say Trump is stupid. He is more deeply ignorant than he is unintelligent. But who can be bothered to be precise, when his incompetence, from whatever cause, is killing people?

  1. I’ve been saying this for two weeks; No MLB and no NFL or NCAA football this year. It’s going to be another blow to a lot of local economies but I can’t see us filling up stadiums with people for a long time. Maybe they could work out a TV- only with all the players tested, but kind of doubt it.

    1. Problem is, by the time a player/ref/staffer tests positive, it’s too late — they’ve already likely passed it to who knows how many others.

Unless you’re going to quarantine all players, coaches, staff, refs, stadium personnel, and broadcast workers for the entire season, which is untenable, I don’t see how it works.

On top of that, I could see a lot of players, certainly the ones that have already banked a lot of money, refusing to play anyway. Why put their families at risk?
