Kidding aside, the analysts have not yet figured out the origin of the bots. They have become far more sophisticated since 2016, so they seem to jump around instantly from country to country.

I think it’s obviously the Robot Apocalypse. In the Terminator universe, an AI got control of nuclear weapons and started a nuclear war to eliminate humanity. But think about it, robots can also be killed by nuclear weapons. But robots are IMMUNE to all Corona Viruses. If the “bots” can trick humans into letting the virus kill us all, all of our machines, including robots, will remain.
