Russia held out until 1918. People once believed that there was a row between the Austrians and Russians over the Russians arriving late from the east after the agreed-upon date in 1806 (before Austerlitz) because of the calendar differences. Sadly a historians’ urban legend – just crappy staff work.
Did they also account for the 11 days in 1752?
