  1. Definitely real – a) it changed my life, b) a few years later SNL spoofed the show as “Battle of the Network Ts and As”.

  2. Check out her appearance on Starsky and Hutch where she plays a stripper. Jiggles and see-through, maybe the most for a tv show of that era, revealed even more in today’s HD.

  3. Is this real? As much as a jiggle-fest network TV was in the 70s, I have trouble believing this would’ve passed ABC’s* Standards & Compliance department, even befor the re-puritanzation of the country after Reagan’s election.

*I think Battle of the Network Stars was on ABC, anyway.

    1. Probably real. Either don’t forget or you need to be aware that this aired about 20 years before High Definition (HD) television. Undoubtedly, nothing could be seen with the televisions at the time, so the network censors didn’t care.

For one example. Me TV has been re-airing Happy Days, and they aired a couple weeks ago the episode with Fonzie’s klutzy nephew who ultimately made a name for himself by catching 40 coins (I think 10 at a time) in his hand that had been positioned on his elbow and, on the show, this set a new world’s record. (After this episode aired, people attempting to do that became something of a brief craze.)

Anyway, Richie noticed Fonzie’s nephew had fast hands when he saw his nephew catch a fly that had supposedly been on Fonzie’s fore-head. With the benefit of HD television, we now know that there never actually was a fly on Fonzie’s forehead, or even anything that looked like a fly.
