This was a mini-series on basic cable, so it’s surprising that there was any nudity at all.
At one time I fancied a career in literary scholarship, and one of my favorite topics was the Arthurian legends. As a result, I nattered on incessantly about this series-turned-film, which had kind of a different take on the subject. Because I was engaged by the fresh ideas, I might have really enjoyed the show, but it is repetitive and the pace is glacial, so I spent a lot of time reaching for the FF button.
A) you call that nattering on endlessly? Heck, *I’ve* written longer posts here than that.
B) Even if you consider that nattering, at least you were not a nabob of negativism. They’re the worst, I gather.
Oh, Spiro. You weren’t corrupt. You were just ahead of your time.
Rachel Maddow did a piece, or series of pieces, about Agnew. He was REALLY corrupt. Envelopes of cash corrupt. At least, back when he was governor of some state or other.
He was Blagojevich before there was a Blagojevich. Amazingly, he was never found guilty of anything but some low-grade tax invasion, and he never had to serve time, although in a later civil suit he did eventually have to pay back hundreds of thousands in kickbacks + interest.
